This latest addition to the PQ Protection family of Surge Protection Devices brings the following features and benefits to many types of applications and facilities for the utmost in overall protection. The PQLA is UL 1449 Type 1 Rated device, allowing connection at the Line or Load side of a Service Entrance. The PQLA incorporates over current protection rated at 200kAIC-SCCR, meeting the NEC 2014 requirement that the SPD be rated equal to or greater than the AIC rating of the point of connection of the SPD. There is no need for additional circuit breakers or fuses when installing the PQLA.
